Quality Education by NIOS

For providing quality education, different boards of education are adopted by different schools. National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is one of the boards after CISCE and CBSE. It was established in 1989 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The main motive of NIOS Admission is to increase the literacy percentage in rural areas.

It provides a simplex syllabus as compared to the other boards. It makes the students flexible enough to understand the topics and reciprocate accordingly. It examines Senior Secondary and Secondary examinations. One add on point which makes NIOS Admission 10 & 12 much valuable is the vocational courses provided after High School.

Criteria of Eligibility and Fee Structure

There are certain criteria which need to be fulfilled for pursuing Senior Secondary or Secondary courses from NIOS. The student should be 14 years or above for admission in Secondary Course. One who usually self-studies can produce self- certificate for admission in Secondary Course. The students who have studied the Secondary course and want to improve their performance can join NIOS Admission in Delhi. Delhi is the main hub for providing quality education. It also provides NIOS Coaching in Delhi to prepare the students for competing in the examinations. There is an only criterion for admission in Senior Secondary Course. The students need to pass the Secondary Course from a recognized board. The fees for the courses depend upon the gender and the category (General or Exempted Category). Below is the brief information about the fees structures:

For Secondary Course:
  • Male- Rs 1800
  • Female- Rs 1450
  • Exempted Category (SC, ST, PWD) - Rs 1200. For Senior Secondary Course
  • Male- Rs 2000
  • Female- Rs 1650
  • Exempted Category- Rs 1300

There are minimum additional charges of Rs 720 for each additional subject in both the courses. Importance of On Demand Exam (ODE) The first step for excellent performance in the examination is to clear the NIOS on Demand Exam. A student can appear this exam multiple times (once per month). This examination will state if the student is ready for the board exams. Below are some benefits of ODE:

  • It helps in preparing you for the exam; the dates will be chosen by you and not by the institute.
  • Chances of Failing reduce as ODEs will already prepare the students.
  • The results will be immediate and will be a great motivation.
  • Malpractices will minimize; the system tools will do the evaluation.

NIOS is a fruitful medium of providing literacy to rural areas. It can be availed for NIOS Admission 2020. The syllabus of NIOS is easy compared to CISCE and CBSE. It makes the students more confident in their subjects and helps them excel.
